Choose a password

Anyone who knows your Intuit Business Services User ID and password can access your account and services. So safeguard your credentials and choose a password that others can't easily guess.

Password rules

Must be between 6 and 32 characters
Can contain both capital and lowercase letters
Can contain only letters, numbers, and hyphens�no other characters
Must be different from your User ID
For example, if your login name is "joe_schmoe@example.com," your password cannot be either "schmoe" or "example."
Cannot be the word "password"
Cannot contain spaces, tabs, returns, character combinations (such as Control-C), or other unprintable characters
Cannot be an increasing or decreasing sequence of numbers (such as "123456" or "987654") or letters (such as "abcdef" or "zyxwvu")

Tips

Choose a password that's easy to remember but not easy for others to guess�don't use your initials or birth date, for example.
Include numbers and a mix of capital and lowercase letters.
Try creating a password by combining letters from words in a memorable phrase. For example, you could create the password 2Bornot2B from the famous quote "To Be or Not to Be."
Don't use a word found in the dictionary.People who attempt to gain unauthorized access to computer systems may use password-guessing programs that cycle through all the words in the dictionary.
